It aims to train professionals, social educational experts and human development scholars, who can contribute to the national and regional development as well as are able to respond to the changing demands of continuously - learning society, through the theory and practices in the lifelong education. For this goal, practices and research works are made as below;

• First, studying the fundamental theory of lifelong education, lifelong education methods to develop programs, and relevant researches, disciplines and principles as well as other research sectors related to the continuing education;
• Second, researching methods and principles of the lifelong learning society and school community to acquire lifelong education;
• Third, stimulating scientific and professional capabilities and expertise of lifelong education organization personnel;
• Fourth, an aspirant of the lifelong education diploma is expected to receive 2nd rank upon completing the graduate course as well as a four-week practices (composed of 160 hours/included in-service staff of the lifelong education institutions)

The department intends to promote benevolence and consciousness for humankind as ethics and confidence of the educators and to instill confident students to build up humanitarian society. It challenges creative mind as well as language skill to express knowledge, ideas and thoughts about education from students.

Furthermore, our graduates from the department of education are potentially able to serve for numerous careers, namely scholar, educationist, instructor, professor, elementary, secondary and teachers, educational advisor and even as researcher - staff in charge of education for social and feminist organization as well as a scientist at the scientific organization. Likewise, it is possible to pass an degree - and - certificate exam of the educational officer /held by the Korean Consultancy Committee, and to receive Second Class Secondary School Teacher's Certificate, in case of completing the academic course, and consequently, to able to work for lifelong education organization and social - welfare sector.
For M.A. graduates are entitled to attend in the doctorate course at the graduate schools of domestic universities and even at overseas reputable universities as well as to work various sectors of education such as governmental administration organizations, educational offices, research centers and other institutions. As for Ph.D. graduates, those are possible to work as lecturers for mainly domestic universities upon their graduation and to catch a possibility of working as policy consultants at the education office and scientists at the scientific academies.

• It accepts 3 credits in case of students, who are taking the Essential English 1, get TOEK 750 scores from TOEK and those take the specified score (such as; TEPS 628, IBT 87, CBT 227, PBT 567/.
• Students attending in the basic dass /if the given student's score is less than 100% of the excellent scoring standards/ must take the Essential English class - 1 in a semester.
